Winter Surprise-a bloom

One morning while I was cooling down from a run, I spied with my two eyes this succulent in my backyard. To my surprise, this lovely plant decided to bloom. I've had this plant for many years and have never seen it sprout a flower. It just sits outside all year, getting absolutely no care at all. I never even water it. All it's nourishment comes from dew in the mornings. I wonder if it does this every year and I've always miss it?
