My weekend in Arrowhead

We spent the last few days of our vacation in our local mountains. The weather was crisp and clear. Lake Arrowhead is always beautiful.
We watched Santa arrive and light the tree in the Village.

The mommies snuck away to enjoy some tasty 'tinis.

Enjoyed the local trail.

Stomped on many fallen leaves.

Finally saw some fall colors.

The kids used leaves to make art.

Enjoyed the moment.

I must say spending time at the lake is always a good time.  We are so thankful to have such great friends whom share their vacation home with us from time to time.  Making family memories is what it is all about!

Vegas

Wow, my life has sure been busy lately. We've been traveling a lot. Packing and unpacking seems to be my reality.  This is weird cause that's not how we roll, I'm usually just packing and unpacking the RV.

Last weekend we went to Vegas with some good old friends and had a blast.  We ate, drink and enjoyed ourselves.  My neighbor  P said I had to go and check out this 3 story Chandelier at the Cosmopolitan Hotel.  The Chandelier Bar is 3 stories and so freaking beautiful.  I was on sparkle overload loving every moment.  The whole casino was sparkly really, my kind of place.

The best part of our trip was just hanging out with my guy.  It was so much fun to be silly and have no worries.

Two Bunch Palms

The grandparents took the kids to Palm Dessert last weekend, so we took the opportunity to skip town too.

We checked into Two Bunch Palms in Dessert Hot Springs.

Built in the 20's, this was one of Al Capones hang outs.
The hotel featured both the Spanish architecture form the 20's, as well as 1950's modern.

Lot's of wild life roam the grounds.

Natural Mineral Hot springs criss cross through the property.
We hung out in the natural mineral pools all day and night.  We were completely relaxed.

 Amazing stained glass.
A baby turtle.

I'm loving spring time in the dessert.   The temperature this trip was perfect.  Not even hot yet!

The ACE

We celebrated our 14 year Wedding Anniversary at the Ace in Palm Springs. We loved it. Here are some photos of our trip.
The pool was the place to be.   The even have a DJ playing music, it was awesome.
Here's a lounging area outside our room, it was the perfect spot to just hang.
Our room, perfectly located across from the pool.
The love birds lounging by the fire, so romantic.
The happy couple, me and my guy in the lounge after the pool.
This was called Coyote Cider, apple pie in a cocktail.
The room, modern and camp style.
The bed was dreamy.
We chilled and relaxed all weekend.  I started reading this great book, it's super long and I made a serious dent in it!
The service at the Ace was incredible.  If you have a chance to stay there, go for it!
