The Monarchs have landed

Exciting news from Butterfly Park: the butterflies are here. Let me start out saying it is very difficult to take a photo of a butterfly in flight. My little camera tries it's best, so sorry for the bad pics. I was just so excited to see so many butterflies fluttering around. These monarchs are feeding on the milkweed and eucalyptus's leaves. I'm in awe. We even saw a beautiful caterpillar. It's so rewarding to see how just a few volunteers can turn this park into what it was originally intended. Last month, I saw a couple getting married in the park. So, if you happen to be in Huntington Beach, come visit Gibbs Park and see how many butterflies you can find.
