When I had my second child, I was searching for Christmas traditions, and found this one in Martha Stewart Kids Magazine. Basically, every year you sew a new sock on the stocking. It's been a great tradition for me to do late at night right before Christmas. I found this years set in Bremerton for $1 at a thrift shop. I also have a nice collection of mismatched Christmas socks of my own. This was the first year I used the same set of socks. The only problem is getting the kids not to wear these stockings all over the house. I can't wait to see how long they'll get.
