My little girl is a
girly girl. She loves to sparkle. So, of course she must have those cute sparkle shoes whenever her and my mom find them out on a shoe hunt. As soon as we got them home, I got out the Mod
Podge Hard Coat and applied a few layers all over the glitter, knowing how fast the glitter would rub off. You see, she
inherited a "be rough on your shoes gene" from me. So, as soon as she out grew the first pair, off to Target grandma and she went to find the same shoes again in a bigger size. Oh, but this time I forgot the Mod
Podge, and after a month, they look terrible already. Today they received a little makeover. I got this beautiful tinsel glitter from Martha Stewart Crafts at
Michael's last month. I think they turned out pretty. I glittered them two times and after the final glitter dried, applied another
two coats of Mod
Podge Hard Coat on top. Now, she has a one of a kind pair of
customised tinsel glittered Hello Kitty shoes. I hope she likes them as much as I do!

Fantastic! I was going to use spray glue, but Mod Podge sounds much better (and more durable.)
Can't wait to try it out! (BTW, I came by way of Daily DIY.)
Great idea and gorgeous finish!
Lovely!
adorable!! i want a pair for myself! do you think it'll look silly in a woman's size 11?
We have this same problem-- I'm definitely going to try the glitter treatment. How did you apply the new coat of glitter-- was that Modge Podge too?
