I whipped this up the other day as a gift for my sister-in-law's birthday. My neighbor cleaned out his garage, and I saw a bunch of these napkin holders hanging on a post. He said his son made them many years ago and gave me a couple. My sister-in-law just moved into a new home and I thought this would be nice in her kitchen. I used my usual method for this project. Cut the paper and glued it on with Mod Podge. I used the old roller from my vintage baking Tupperware set to smooth out the paper. It was the first time I'd used this, and loved it. I added grosgrain ribbon along some of the edges. I left the wood posts alone. I finished it off with a couple more coats to seal the piece. I hope she likes it.
