Inspiration

We live in sunny southern California in a large beach city about an hour south of Los Angeles. Everything we could possibly need is near by. However, on rare occasions we make the trek to LA. On a recent rainy day we ventured to the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County.
My favorite exhibit was the Gem and Mineral Hall. I got lost looking at all the beautiful pieces in the collection. Here are a few of my favorites. The blue ones were my inspiration for this post.
