The Savory Spice Shop located just off Pearl Street in Boulder is a must if you love to cook. To shop at this store, you grab the jar of the spice you want and take it up to the counter, tell them know how much you want and they fill your order. So much fun. I wish we had a shop like this around here. Just last week I was shopping for spices at our local
Vons, and they wanted 17.99 for a 1 oz container of cardamom. That's just
outrageous. At the Savory Spice Shop, I got an ounce of cardamom pods for under 5 dollars. I got star a
nise for
Pho, and some
tandoori mix. I can't wait to crack them open.

Cardamom is expensive! I was looking for it a couple months ago and was shocked at the price!
