Got Milk?

We live around a lot of cement here in suburbia. So when we travel, exploring is an important part of what we do. This trip we found an organic farm up the road from our camp spot. Who knew hanging out with goats could be so much fun? The goats were so cute, one of the babies got lost and the drama ensued. After 20 minutes our little goat found it's mom and life was normal again. Days later, happiness abound us when we spotted zebras a long the coast in front of Hearst Castle. I didn't want to tell the kids before hand, just in case we didn't spot them. But, it was a great day, because they were all out in the pasture by Hwy 1. On our last day, we we're visiting my family in Atascadro. They have a beautiful piece of property with huge oak trees on it. Right next door, the neighbor has a bunch of cows. Oh boy, was that ever fun feeding them carrots. Some day, like in about 15 years, I really want to live on the central coast and have cows and chickens and goats.

Just lovely, I'd love to have my own critters like that myself.
