Our dining room table is a hand-me-down from our brother-in-law. It's very old and has lived a splendid life. My dream table is the Saarrinen tulip table with a white marble top. I'm trying to decide on these two chairs. Chair 1.) is a lucite Vapor chair from
CB2. Chair 2.) is a woven and stainless steel Nandor chair from
Ikea. I'm leaning toward the woven chair, it fits better with the modern organic estetic I like. The lucite might be too glam for us. And with 2 kids, they might be a pain to keep clean. So the search is on for the table. I would like to procure a used table via craigslist. I set up a google alert and I'm thinking positive thoughts!
I have been searching for a Saarerin tulip table for two years. I just found someone locally who sells real Knoll tops. The only problem is that they are damaged. Guess what? I don't really mind. I could totally live with a nice chip in my table. Today we are going to look at this top. Wish us luck!
