Here's my childhood Advent calendar. My mom made this back in 1974 from one of those Bucilla Kits. I can remember her sewing on the sequins and beads on the ornaments. The calendar is old and getting a little beat up in some places. So I've been searching all over eBay for a kit like this so I can make one of my own. To my dismay, they go for over $60. So, my Holiday goal for next year is to use this one as a template and make a new one. Some of my neighbors want to make one too, so this will be a craft nite event over the summer.
