On Earth Day, my daughter came home with a special bag and wanted to go around the neighborhood and pick up trash. Great idea! So we trekked out the front door and found all kinds of stuff. Our street has been under construction for quite some time now and we left no trash behind. As we went along, we came across a beautiful row of rose trees, I wanted us to smell them and see which tree smelt the best. I gently pulled the first one toward our noses and it snapped right off. Oops. So, we accidentally pulled one off, which BTW was the best smelling. I felt guilty. I usually ask permission to cut a neighbors roses. No one saw us and we scouted off.

Happy Earth Day!

We took the Daisy Scouts on a little nature hike yesterday to the Bolsa Chica Wetlands. They picked up trash along the trail and spied a few animals along the way. We ended our day with a weenie and marshmallow roast. I even made a successful bonfire. How are you celebrating Earth Day?
