The Dish: Chocalate Chip Cookies

As the kids get older they're a big help in the Cooking Department. We made these Chocolate Chunk Cookies from Martha Stewart's Baking Handbook this week. They are crispy and so tasty. I used wheat flour so they are a bit darker then normal. I discovered if you do not have brown sugar, you can make your own. If your recipe calls for 1 cup brown sugar, simply add 1 cup granulated sugar and 1 cup molasses for the substitution. I tried it and it works. This recipe called for 1 teaspoon of salt and baking soda and I accidentally put in 1 tablespoon of each(oops). I should blame the kids, but I was not paying attention. Anyways, they still turned out. The recipe is in the link.
