Craft Lab: Mini paint chip Banner

My daughter was very sick this weekend. I was trying to pick her up and totally threw out my back. Let me just say, it was a challenge taking care of her with my limited mobility. I laid flat on my back for most of the day. By the next day, I needed to do something creative. So here's what I made. I had everything on hand. Super easy!

You'll need paint chips, glue, scissors, and string.

I cut square paint chip in half, then folded this piece in half and cut folded piece into a triangle. After I cut out enough triangles, I placed the string between the folded paper and glued together. Since, the paint chips are stiff, I used clothes pins to hold the two pieces together until the glue was set. After it dries, hang up and smile!

Craft Lab: Zine Table redo

I was excited a couple of weekends ago when my mom found this cute magazine end table on her garage sale route. I pondered all for a while on what fabric to adorn the top with. I found this beautiful Amy Butler fabric at one of my local fabric stores and fell in love. So, the next day I primed the whole table with this lovely shade of robin's egg blue, cut the fabric to fit, glued it on with my favorite craft product Mod Podge, rolled out the bubbles, applied many coats of Mod Podge to the top, did a few wet sandings, and finished the whole thing off with a nice clear coat of finish. It felt so good to work on a new project. This would be a lovely piece for a bathroom, bedside table or nd end table. I can't wait to decoupage something else. Craft Lab: Halloween Rosette Garland

I sold the Halloween Banner in my Etsy shop and had to replace it. So at a play date with my neighbor, we both whipped up one of these. I didn't have my camera with me, so this tutorial is the end of the project. I'll post the beginning of the project for Saturday. I like this, but would like it better if I used less colorful paper, and maybe only black and white or plain orange. This one doesn't read modern to me, and that's more my style. I'm having a hard time finding papers that reflect my taste. Now, I'm on a mission. Here's a video to show how to make the rosettes.
