Etsy Love: Pacific Art Works

I'm so excited to share Pacific Art Works with you. My friend Derek is a very talented Artist. I happen to really like welders, because my late grandfather was a welder. Grandpa would whip up anything I'd ask him to. I met Derek about 6 years ago, he is the husband of one of my mommy friends( I really like her too, she taught me how to organize all my kids toys, for that, I will always to indebited to her.) So, every year we go on this crazy big camping trip 30+ families. Well, at the end of our camping weekend, the group gives out prizes for random things, like coming the farthest, coming a week early, attending every year, etc. The prizes are all amazing metal sculptures made by Derek. Every year, I've admired his creative pieces. When, I joined Etsy, I had to let him know about this great opportunity for him. Well, folks I present the Pacific Ark Works. The pieces are made of recycled materials and are awesome. Way to go Derek!!!

I haven't featured a Etsy shop in quite a while. I love these cupcake wrappers from Cupcake Social. I think I have cupcakes on the brain this week. The prices in this shop are very reasonable, too.

Etsy Love- Sara Gardner

I try not to publish things I find on other peoples blogs, however sometimes I just must. Decor8 featured this Etsian a while back and I love this message. She's Sara Gardner, please check out here shop here.
This been my mantra for the last 6 months. So simple, yet hard for me to do. Our minds are in constant thought, and I find that my thoughts can take me away from being present in my life.
My honey actually commissioned me to make something like this. I started the project and haven't finished it. I'm a little more clear of the direction I'd like to take the project now. This next year, I'm taking my crafting into a new direction. I'll be making pieces from sustainable materials, I'm in the research mood now. And I'm going to make art. It might have glitter and be decoupaged, but it will be hung on wall. There I said it, now the universe knows all about it.

Etsy Love- Jean Pelle

I'm so loving these modern candlesticks from designer Jean Pelle of Brooklyn, New York. They remind me of my beautiful danish modern set that were destroyed by a housesitter that lit them on fire. I've forgiven her, but find it hard to forget. Check out the other beautiful items Jean Pelle has in her Etsy shop right here.

Etsy Love- The Secret Nest

This Etsy shop is so marvelous. The artist finds their inspiration from plants, animals and mystery. I sure could get lost on one of these tiny little islands. The detail involved in making these must take hours. To check out the shop from British Columbia click here. Enjoy!!

Etsy Love-Irene Design

My latest way to green up our lives was helped by this wonderful Etsy Shop. Irene makes these green sandwich wrappers, that are washable. You can even use the wrapper as a little place mat to eat your lunch on. They are made of organic cotton and bamboo. I purchased these as goodie bag gifts for my weekend away with the girls. I hope they like them as much as I do. Check out Irene's shop here: http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5880814

Etsy Love- Bliss Home Goods

Here's a fun shop on etsy that is recycling and making the coolest vases: http://www.blisshomegoods.etsy.com/ This fellow blogger is in the middle of a home renovation and her blog walks you through the craziness. One of my favorite posts was when someone spilled a gallon of white paint on her soon to be refinished hardwood floors. She let this be an inspiration and decided to paint the floor instead. Check it out here: http://www.thelaundryisneverfinished.wordpress.com/

Etsy Love- QwertyO

I had to share this wonderful Etsy find with all of you. Here's an Etsy Shop that is does something wonderful for the environment. This store is run by a mother/daughter team that has designed these amazing reusable snack baggies for lunches or whatever. I've been cringing every morning as I pull plastic bag after plastic bag out to make up my daughter's lunch(I ditched all of our plastic containers and use only glass now). I found this store and special ordered 10 bags. I can't wait till they get here. They also make large reusable bags for your fruit and veggies at the store. The daughter is using the money she makes to send herself to college. I see this as a win-win situation. Here's the link to the store:http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5504806&order=&section_id=&page=2 Happy shopping!!!!

Etsy Love- Hunky Dory

Some people ask me what mintage is, well this Etsian is the perfect example. She's from the UK and makes these marvelous handmade lampshades and pillows using a range of funky retro, kitsch, shabby chic and contemporary fabrics. If you'd like something different that you won't see anywhere else, this is definitely it. I think these would make a great addition in a child's bedroom or playroom. She'll customize her pieces, too. Check out her blog at http://www.hunkydoryhome.wordpresscom - it's the hunkydory guide to a funkydory home!

Etsy Love-The Runny Bunny

I have this beautiful little bird planter from the 40's that's aqua blue with 2 little birds sitting on a branch. It's one of my favorite things. I have thought of starting up a collection of these little birds. I check out ebay for them and if I ever went out and saw one shopping I'd buy one. I was surfing Etsy the other day and saw this cute little birdy featured on the front page and had to check it out. Now, this is one of my new favorite Etsians the "Runny Bunny". This artist creates these elegant little figurines. The little funny ones are called hybrids, where she mixes up things a bit. I love her sense of humor. You must check out her shop, she has 100's of these cute little guys. Now my search is over, she'll even custom make pieces. I love it. Check out her store http://www.runnybunny.etsy.com/.
